Objectives
This work package (WP3000) ensures that the technical forecasting solutions developed during WP2000 meet the GOVSATCOM operational requirements. It focuses on verifying the compliance, performance, and feasibility of the Proof-of-Concept (PoC) models by refining their design and validating them through updated trade-off analyses and structured evaluation procedures.
-
The main technical objectives of WP3000 -- Verification of Proof-of-Concepts are:
-
Objective 1: Provide a design baseline for the selected forecasting solutions. CTTC consolidates the initial PoC implementations into a preliminary design baseline that reflects their architecture, assumptions, and operating conditions.
-
Objective 2: Perform updated trade-off analysis of technical solutions. Together with EUTELSAT, the team re-evaluates the PoCs in light of their preliminary results, quantifying strengths and weaknesses across key GOVSATCOM parameters (e.g., latency, interpretability, generalization).
-
Objective 3: Verify the compliance of each selected model. Each forecasting solution is systematically verified to ensure that it satisfies the functional, operational, and security-related criteria defined in the WP1000 specification.
-
Objective 4: Deliver a verified and updated technical specification. A verified detailed design is produced for each model, including final implementation parameters, performance estimates, and system integration readiness.
-
Objective 5: Provide an updated statement of compliance. For each model, an updated formal assessment of compliance is issued, capturing its maturity, limitations, and readiness for demonstrator deployment in the next phase.
